The Sarah Lawrence College Archives invites current Sarah Lawrence students, both at home and abroad, to participate in documenting their current experiences living through COVID-19. We recognize that it can be difficult to fully grasp the significance of an event while it is still unfolding, but it is clear that the COVID-19 pandemic is an event of historical magnitude. The scale of its impact is wide-ranging, both geographically and socially, and it is incumbent upon archives to ensure that the historical record reflects wide-ranging experiences of this challenging time. The SLC Archives is actively documenting the College’s response to the crisis, but we feel it is also important to capture the student experience. This is an undoubtedly transformative event in the history of student life and the academic experience at SLC, and our goal is to document the lives of students from their own perspectives as they not only adapt to the off-campus and online learning environment, but also adapt personally and socially to this international crisis. By encouraging students to chronicle their own experiences, the Archives is supporting its mandate to preserve and make available materials that document the history of the College, which will allow future students, researchers, and scholars to study the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Submission Guidelines:
- Content related to COVID-19 as detailed above
- From a currently enrolled SLC student; you must use your current SLC email account to submit
- Metadata submitted is reviewed by the Archives prior to posting
- Materials may be made publicly available; archivists will vet anything with unrelated or inappropriate content
- Students should own or have created all submissions
What Not To Submit:
- Students should not share personally identifiable information about other people, including family members, other SLC students, faculty, or staff
- The Archives does not collect personal health information and will not accept materials that include anyone’s personal health information
- Materials should not infringe on existing copyrights
